Can the filler shape change after treatment?

Yes. Facial muscle movement and outside pressure can change the shape, so take care not to press on the treated area in the weeks after treatment.

In that case, we recommend a thorough consultation with our medical team at the clinic before going ahead.

- -You can wash your face and wear makeup 2 to 3 hours after treatment. Remove the Duoderm patch on the treated area 1 to 3 days after treatment.
- -For 3 to 7 days after treatment, avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas or jjimjilbangs (Korean bathhouses), hot baths and strenuous exercise to prevent inflammation.
- -Depending on the treated area, take the prescribed medication as directed for 3 days to prevent inflammation and reduce pain. Tell us if you have a history of antibiotic allergies or any other medical conditions.
- -If pain keeps getting worse even with the prescribed medication, or you notice changes in skin color, blistering at the treatment site, itching or a lasting feeling of heat, contact the clinic and come in.
- -Facial muscle movement and outside pressure can change the shape after treatment. For 2 to 3 weeks, avoid pressing on or irritating the treated area, for example by wearing a hat, sleeping on your stomach or side, wearing glasses, or having ultrasound or radiofrequency treatments, deep facial massage or dental work.
- -As with any injection, bruising, swelling, pain or a foreign body sensation may occur depending on skin condition. In most cases these improve within 1 to 2 weeks.
