By Dr. Park Yein, Chief Medical Director, Beauty Z Skin Clinic Myeongdong · October 2026
The short answer. Juvelook is a Korean collagen-stimulating injection made by VAIM and approved by Korea's Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. It pairs PDLLA microparticles with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Juvelook works in the upper layer of the skin on pores, acne scars and fine lines, Juvelook Volume uses larger particles in deeper tissue to rebuild volume, and Juvelook Eye is made for the thin skin around the eyes. On our October 2026 price list, Juvelook starts from ₩189,000. The change usually begins to show within 2 to 3 weeks, and I plan at least three sessions, four weeks apart.
Juvelook is a name that now covers three products, and they are not interchangeable. Below is how I explain the differences in consultation at our clinic in central Myeongdong: what Juvelook is made of, which type fits which concern, how it compares with Rejuran, what it costs here and how to fit it around a stay in Seoul.
What Juvelook Is Made Of
Juvelook comes from VAIM, a Korean company, and holds approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). Its two ingredients do different jobs.
- Hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance your skin already contains, gives soft support and hydration from the start.
- PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) breaks down slowly inside the skin, and as it does, it prompts your skin to produce new collagen.

That second step is the point of the treatment. Juvelook helps regenerate your own tissue rather than simply filling a space, so the result develops over the weeks after your visit. On average, the change becomes visible after 2 to 3 weeks and keeps building from there.

Is Juvelook a filler?
Not in the usual sense. A hyaluronic acid filler adds volume the moment it is placed. Juvelook works through your own collagen, so the change comes from your tissue and appears gradually. That is also why it tends to look soft rather than sculpted, and why I plan it as a course of sessions.
Juvelook, Juvelook Volume and Juvelook Eye
All three share the same pair of ingredients. What changes is the particle size, how deep the product goes and the area it is designed for.
| Juvelook | Juvelook Volume | Juvelook Eye | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inside | Fine PDLLA microparticles with non-cross-linked HA | PDLLA 170 mg with HA 30 mg, larger particles | PDLLA microparticles with HA |
| Placed in | The superficial skin layer | Deep tissue, any area except the forehead and under the eyes | The thin skin around the eyes |
| Suits | Pores, acne scars, fine lines, skin tone | Hollow areas and natural facial volume | Under-eye hollows, dark circles, fine lines |
| Course | 3 or more sessions, 4 weeks apart | 3 or more sessions, 1 month apart | 2 to 3 sessions, 3 to 4 weeks apart |
| Makeup | From the next day | After 2 to 3 hours | After 2 to 3 hours |
Juvelook for pores, scars and fine lines
The original Juvelook is made of very fine particles that sit just beneath the surface of the skin. There they smooth the texture directly, while the PDLLA works on collagen underneath. This is the type I recommend when enlarged pores, acne scars or early fine lines are the main concern, and when you would also like a brighter overall tone.
Juvelook Volume for hollow areas
Juvelook Volume is the same formula with slightly larger particles, injected at a higher concentration into deeper tissue. Over 4 to 6 weeks, collagen forms gradually and fills hollow areas with your own tissue. It suits guests who want natural volume without surgery. We do not use it on the forehead or under the eyes.

Juvelook Eye for the eye area
The skin around the eyes is thin and sensitive, so it has a product of its own. Juvelook Eye adds soft volume right after treatment, and collagen keeps forming in the deeper layers over the following weeks. It is a good fit for a tired look from under-eye hollows or dark circles, and for guests who would rather avoid conventional filler in that area. After a single session, results typically last about 6 to 9 months, and a course of 2 to 3 sessions gives a steadier result.

Because the area is delicate, the doctor marks each injection point before treatment.

Who Juvelook Suits
In consultation, these are the situations where I bring Juvelook into the plan:
- Pores, acne scars and uneven texture you want to refine
- Fine lines and lost volume you would like to improve at the same time
- Skin that has lost elasticity, with pores that look larger than they used to
- A tired eye area you want to brighten without the heavier feel of filler

The particle size and depth matter more than the brand name, so the first thing I do is look at your skin closely and ask what bothers you most when you look in the mirror. From there we choose the type, the areas and the number of sessions together.

Juvelook vs Rejuran
Juvelook and Rejuran are both Korean skin boosters, and many guests come in weighing one against the other. They start from different ingredients.
| Juvelook | Rejuran Healer | |
|---|---|---|
| Main ingredient | PDLLA with hyaluronic acid | PN (polynucleotide) |
| How it works | Stimulates your own collagen, while fine particles smooth the area just under the surface | Supports regeneration of skin that has become thin or lost firmness |
| Where I start with it | Pores, acne scars, fine lines, texture | Overall firmness and full-face anti-aging |
| Course | At least 3, every 4 weeks | At least 3, every 2 to 3 weeks |
If texture and scarring are what you notice first, I usually start with Juvelook. If the concern is firmness across the whole face, Rejuran Healer is often the better first step. When both apply, we can plan them together at consultation. You can read more on our skin booster page and our Rejuran HB page.

Your Juvelook Visit, Step by Step
- Consultation. A doctor examines your skin and agrees the plan with you, including the type and amount.
- Cleansing. You remove makeup and sunscreen at the clinic.
- Numbing cream. We apply numbing cream to the area before any injection.
- Marking. For Juvelook Volume and Juvelook Eye, the doctor marks the injection points first.
- Treatment. The doctor injects Juvelook into the planned areas.
- Aftercare. Before you leave, we go through your aftercare instructions.

Small raised bumps at the injection points usually settle within 2 to 3 hours, and on some skin they stay for a day or two. Mild swelling or bruising can also appear and generally fades quickly.

Planning Juvelook Around a Trip to Seoul
Because Juvelook works as a course, the timing of your first session matters as much as the session itself. Here is how I advise guests visiting for a short stay.
The first days after treatment
With Juvelook, you can wash your face and wear makeup from the next day. With Juvelook Volume and Juvelook Eye, you can cleanse and wear makeup after 2 to 3 hours. For 3 to 7 days, skip saunas, jjimjilbangs and hot baths, along with heavy drinking, smoking and hard workouts, to keep inflammation away. If a spa day is on your Seoul list, book it before your appointment.

Extra care for Volume and Eye
After Juvelook Volume, keep the protective patch on for 3 days. For 2 to 3 weeks, avoid pressure on the area: hats, sleeping on your side or stomach, glasses, ultrasound or radiofrequency treatments, deep facial massage and dental work. For at least 5 days, gently massage the area for about 5 minutes, 5 times a day, so it settles evenly.
After Juvelook Eye, leave eyeliner and lash curlers for another day, and wait at least 2 weeks before massaging the eye area. With the original Juvelook, avoid rubbing the treated skin and skip deep facial massage for one month.
Fitting a course into return visits
A full course of three sessions takes about two months, longer than most trips to Seoul. Juvelook and Juvelook Volume are planned at four-week or one-month intervals, and Juvelook Eye at three to four weeks. Tell us your travel dates when you book. I suggest the first session early in your stay, so any bumps have settled before photos or plans, and we decide the timing of the next sessions together at consultation.
