Laser light is selectively absorbed by the black melanin pigment in hair follicles that are in the growth phase. The light turns into heat, which destroys those growing follicles.
GentleMax Pro Plus is an upgraded version of the GentleMax Pro and uses two wavelengths, 755 nm and 1064 nm. Its spot size goes up to 26 mm, larger than the earlier GentleMax Pro, so it can treat anything from small areas to the entire body.
The DCD cooling system sprays cryogen with each pulse to protect the skin and reduce discomfort.
Because the laser targets dark pigment, it destroys the hair root and follicle while largely sparing the skin, sweat glands and sebaceous glands, so irritation is low. Any area of the face or body can be treated, with short sessions and little pain.
