Visiting Seoul for a short stay
The clinic recommends regular care at 1 to 2 week intervals. Makeup is fine right away; for 3 to 7 days, skip saunas and jjimjilbang, hot baths, heavy drinking, smoking and hard workouts, and avoid scrubs and other peels for about a week.
Iontophoresis mechanism
Iontophoresis applies a small electric current to move charged and polar compounds across the skin. A review in Physiological Measurement names electromigration and electroosmosis as its two main mechanisms.

Iontophoresis TreatmentTreatment overview
In iontophoresis care, an ampoule is applied to the skin. A microcurrent device with positive and negative electrodes then helps the ampoule's active ingredients penetrate deep into the skin.
The ionized ingredients pass through the dense skin barrier into the dermis.
Ampoule types and effects
- Hydration Bomb Care (Hydration), Hydration (ASCOR-C) Ampoule: A water-soluble, concentrated hydrating ampoule. When its natural active ingredients reach the epidermis, they soothe the skin and leave it hydrated and healthy-looking.
- Collagen Care (Elasticity), Collagen Ampoule: Collagen is a fibrous protein that supports the structure and volume of the dermis, and this care focuses on fine lines and elasticity.
- Vitamin Care (Brightening), Vitamin C Ampoule: Pure vitamin C is delivered deep into the skin to brighten a dull complexion.
