PDT/Acne ManagementQ&A
- Q.What is the difference between this and home care?
- At beautyz, we use sterilized management tools and professional skin care staff to carefully check your skin condition and perform extraction and regeneration management to prevent secondary inflammation. If you forcibly squeeze acne that is not yet ready to be extracted, it can actually worsen the condition and cause pigmentation. If it is difficult for you to judge your own skin condition, we recommend visiting our clinic for professional management.
- Q.How do you distinguish between comedone acne and pustular acne?
- Comedone acne is the earliest form of acne that appears as small, white, bumpy spots. Since sebum accumulates inside the pores, it does not easily disappear, and if left untreated, inflammation develops inside the pores and turns into pustular acne. In simple terms, pustular acne is acne that forms when comedone acne becomes infected due to blocked sebum in the pores. Therefore, we recommend receiving management suited to your skin type based on an accurate diagnosis.
PDT/Acne ManagementPrecautions
Please carefully check and follow the precautions.
- -Cleansing and makeup are possible immediately after treatment, but cleanse with cool or lukewarm water and it is best to use a gentle cleanser.
- -For 3-7 days after treatment, to prevent inflammation, avoid excessive drinking, smoking, visiting saunas/jjimjilbangs, hot baths, and strenuous exercise.
- -Since dryness may occur after treatment, use moisturizer frequently and be sure to apply sunscreen when going outside.
- -Depending on your skin type, temporary breakouts, slight redness, or a stinging sensation may occur, but these will quickly subside.
- -For about a week, refrain from using scrubs and avoid peeling treatments and similar procedures.
