Temporal Botox

Bothered by a protruding temporalis muscle?
Temporal Botox
  • Temporal BotoxTreatment Information

If you often eat hard foods or have a habit of clenching your teeth, the temporalis muscle may become overdeveloped.
This can make your face look larger or give it a square-jaw look. Temporal Botox is performed on a temporalis muscle that has become enlarged through these habits. It is not simply about making the face look smaller.
It is an effective procedure to reduce overall face size by shrinking the prominently developed temporalis muscle, not fat, to create a small, smooth facial contour.

  • Temporal BotoxTreatment Results & Frequency

Results vary with muscle mass and daily habits, but the muscle typically returns to its original size over 6-8 months. To maintain results, we recommend retreatment at 4-5 month intervals.
  • Temporal BotoxQ&A

    • Q.
      When will results appear?
    • Results vary by individual, but muscle mass typically begins to decrease gradually 2 weeks after treatment, and within 1-2 months on average you can expect a refined facial contour and a softer look.
    • Q.
How is this treatment different from Contouring Injection?
    • Contouring Injection is a fat-dissolving treatment that is effective when there is excess fat, whereas Temporal Botox reduces the size of an overdeveloped temporalis muscle. Both make the face look smaller, but they work differently.
  • Temporal BotoxPrecautions

Please carefully check and follow the precautions.

    • -Cleansing and makeup are possible 2-3 hours after treatment.
    • -For 3-7 days after treatment, to prevent inflammation, please avoid excessive alcohol, smoking, visiting saunas/jjimjilbangs, hot baths, and strenuous exercise.
    • -Avoid rubbing or irritating the treated area. (Please avoid intensive massage or meridian treatments for one month.)
    • -After treatment, very chewy or hard foods should be avoided as they may shorten the duration of Botox effects and cause pain.
    • -You may feel soreness in the treated area after treatment, but this is a temporary phenomenon and there is no need to worry.
    • -Injection treatments may cause bruising and swelling depending on skin condition, but these are minimal and subside quickly.
